Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.3 Announced, Fixes Everything, Finally

Posted on April 1, 2021September 19, 2021 by Mont Cessna

Newly appointed CD Projekt CEO, Mariusz Zbigniew Pudzianowski, hosted his first press conference today and announced Patch 1.3 will be coming for Cyberpunk 2077 by June 1st. Along with organizational changes to the way the company will make games going forward, that were announced recently, this shakeup included the CEO position as well.

“Don’t worry, it fixes everything!” Pudzianowksi shouted at the sometimes chaotic press conference in Warsaw, as reported by Polish-language newspaper Kwiecieńzart. “Besides finally squashing all the bugs, once and for all, we are also doing the right thing and fixing the cut parts, along with rebalancing items, crafting and the important RPG elements, along with massive improvements everywhere with the AI and performance fixes across all console models and PC.” This apparently comes after Marcin Iwinski’s resignation and a unanimous vote of the company’s board of directors to replace him.

However, it remains to be seen if Pudzianowski can really drag Cyberpunk 2077 from a universally panned, buggy, and rushed experience across the finish line. He has promised big things however, saying the structural changes to the company and “doing the right thing” are paramount to the success of CDPR going forward.

“We really messed up, bigtime, and now we have to make it right. The only way to do that is to make the game that we promised, even if that requires unlocking the reserve power in the Xbox One and PS4 base consoles” Pudzianowski told reporters. “Microsoft and Sony have warned us not to do it, as it is a very technical process to write games for it, and may make gamers question why it has not been done sooner, but we have a hundred of the very best computer scientists working around the clock on it. And we will get it done ahead of schedule.”

It is an enormous undertaking, fixing Cyberpunk 2077, but Mariusz Pudzianowski, CEO of CDPR thinks he is up for the challenge. “It doesn’t matter if I have to lift a 200kg rock in the way, we’ll get it done. Cyberpunk 2077 will be fixed 100% and run great on older consoles. It may even be Game Of The Year for 2021.”

Never Ending Realm rated the Xbox One version of Cyberpunk 2077 a 6/10.
