A new Nintendo Switch update which fixes a controller issue – but not THE controller issue we have all been waiting for to be fixed – is available for download.
While no solution for the widespread Joy Con ‘drift’ issue has been announced (Other than mailing your set in for repairs). Nintendo has fixed a problem that arose after the installment of Update 10.0.0 in which new Pro Controllers had issues setting up correctly which ironically caused faulty Joystick controls.
And so, we await for Nintendo to deliver a final solution, someday, for the one issues that has plagued Switch owners everywhere especially with Nintendo repair centers being shut down during the COVID-19 crisis. It will prove difficult for Nintendo to fix the ‘drift’ issues as it is a hardware (rather than a software) problem.
Nintendo Switch 10.0.2. Update Patch Notes:
“General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience, including a solution for the following: We have fixed an issue where a Nintendo Switch console with system menu version 10.0.0 or 10.0.1 does not set up a new Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, sometimes causing incorrect joystick control.”
